About Amanjeet

As an Economics and Maths tutor, I offer a professional, supportive, and focused approach to helping students succeed. I work with students who want to strengthen their understanding, improve their performance in assessments, and develop greater confidence in their ability.

I believe effective tutoring should be personalised, purposeful, and academically rigorous. For that reason, I plan lessons carefully, adapt them to the needs of each student, and maintain a clear focus on progress. I am patient and approachable, but I also set high expectations and encourage students to develop strong habits, resilience, and independence in their learning.

My role is not simply to go over content, but to help students think more clearly, work more effectively, and approach their subjects with greater confidence. I aim to create a learning environment that is positive, structured, and reliable, where students feel supported and motivated to achieve their potential.

I am committed to maintaining a high standard of professionalism in every lesson, from preparation and punctuality to communication and consistency. Students and parents can feel confident that lessons will be taken seriously and delivered with care, attention, and a genuine commitment to academic progress.

About the lesson

I take a patient, structured, and encouraging approach to tutoring, with a strong focus on building confidence as well as understanding. In both economics and maths, I break complex topics down into simple, clear steps and adapt my teaching style to each student’s needs. I believe lessons should be interactive, not just lectures, so I regularly ask questions, check understanding, and use worked examples to make sure students are actively engaged.

My teaching methodology is based on identifying weak areas early, strengthening core knowledge, and then reinforcing learning through guided practice and exam-style questions. For maths, I focus on method, logic, and repeated application so students understand not just how to solve a problem, but why the method works. For economics, I help students develop both strong subject knowledge and the ability to write clear, well-structured answers, using real-world examples where possible to make topics more relatable and interesting.

A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, although I can also offer shorter or longer sessions depending on the student’s goals and attention span. Lessons are usually structured around a clear objective, followed by explanation, practice, feedback, and a summary of what has been covered. I can also help with revision planning, homework support, and exam preparation.

My lessons are suitable for a wide range of students, including secondary school pupils, GCSE students, and A-level students studying maths or economics. I can support students who want to improve their confidence, catch up on difficult topics, or aim for top grades.

I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and developing real confidence in the subject.
