About Rasjot
I have a Master's degree in Comparative Women's Studies in Culture and Politics, also known as Gender Studies. Before that I completed a Bachelor in Cultural Anthropology and Sociology of Non-Western Societies. Both taught me that history is as relevant today as it was in the past, and often repeats itself under a seemingly new guise. This gave me a great sense of understanding of processes that happen both on an impersonal, macro level, as well as those that we experience on the personal, micro plane. During my time in university I tutored fellow students and co-developed, as well as taught, a teaching method for secondary schools on sexuality.

My teaching method starts with the student's interests and requirements. My approach is to use current examples, from our daily life, to draw parallels with the material and thereby gain a better understanding of its relevance. I would encourage the student to challenge opinions, test theory against personal experience. Through discussion of the material we would engage in an informed process of analytical and critical thinking. This to help build a personal style and a strong voice on paper as well as in presentations.
