About Sienna
I am an International Baccalaureate graduate who received an ATAR of 94. I am currently a first year undergraduate student at ANU. I have tutored in high school (year 7-12) maths as it was one of my best subjects. I am a great communicator and will push students to the best of their ability by using my knowledge and experience from the IB to explain maths and biology in a simple way.

My method is to break down everything step by step. The IB diploma is a very self motivated course which taught me how to make things simple for myself. For maths, I build from the basics to provide a solid understanding and foundation that the student can always reference. I also base a lot of my study on repetition of formulas and solutions in all subjects that can be easily adapted to lots of different questions. Lastly, I use past exam paper questions in the learning process so the student can understand formulas in a real exam setting rather then a simple textbook question. As an example of my methods, in year 11 I was failing maths but I pushed myself and adapted my teaching and learning methods to then receive an A (7/7) in my final maths exams. This helped me gain an understanding of different and effective teaching methods for students who get easily stuck or confused on hard topics like I did when first attempting IB maths.
