I am Marianne, an MS Applied Physics student specializing in computational materials science. My teaching approach focuses on building strong conceptual understanding first, followed by step-by-step problem solving and practical applications. I often use intuitive explanations, real-world examples, and coding (Python) when relevant to help students see how concepts are applied in science and engineering.
A typical lesson starts with reviewing core concepts, identifying gaps in understanding, and then working through guided problems before progressing to independent exercises. I adjust pacing depending on the student’s level, ensuring mastery rather than memorization.
What sets me apart is my integration of physics with computational thinking, which helps students understand not just “what” to solve but “how and why” scientific methods work in real research contexts.
