Perfect! A-level Geography Tutor
We started working with John in September, and I am genuinely delighted with the progress my daughter has made so far. The improvement has been remarkable, and I could not be happier with how things are going.
From the outset, John took the time to understand exactly where my daughter stood across all areas of the Edexcel A-level Geography specification (9GE0) and built a plan around her specific needs rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. The focus on Paper 3, the Synoptic Investigation, was particularly well judged. John identified early on that this is where my daughter needed the most support, and the work on essay structure and resource booklet technique has made a real difference to how she approaches questions under exam conditions.
Alongside this, the weekly content review sessions covering Papers 1 and 2 have been invaluable. My daughter’s recall of case studies and her confidence with geography terminology have both improved noticeably, and I can see her becoming much more assured in her ability to apply knowledge to unfamiliar contexts, exactly the kind of AO2 and AO3 skills that make the difference between a C and an A.
My daughter completed her Independent Investigation (NEA) with a grade A before beginning her sessions with John, and it is clear she has that foundation to build on. John has helped her channel that capability into the examined papers with real focus and structure.
Being able to track my daughter’s progress between sessions and having direct access to John when questions come up has made the whole process feel very joined up. Knowing that the weekly plan adapts to where she actually is, rather than following a fixed schedule, gives us real confidence that the sessions are always targeting the right things.
We are very pleased with how September to now has unfolded and are looking forward to continuing to build on this momentum ahead of the exams.
John comes highly recommended.- Amazing student and family relationship - thank you so much for all of your positivity!John's response :
Perfect! We use John's online tutoring platform for my son, and the experience has been fantastic. It is genuinely bespoke, tailored to how students actually learn, and my son really enjoys it. Even without 1-to-1 lessons yet, John’s communication, responsiveness, and flexibility around exam goals have been outstanding. Highly recommended 100%.
Perfect! John helped my son go from a U to an A in his final A-Level exam. He is our family saviour - all I have to say.
Perfect! Super tutor who has been by my side for 5 years - can't thank you enough!
Perfect! From C grades to Oxford: the tutors who made it happen
When my son started A-level Psychology and Biology, a C was about as good as it was getting. Two years, two subjects, two A grades, and a place at Oxford later, I still can't get over it.
John and Classon worked with him across both subjects without either slipping. Psychology and Biology are completely different beasts and they handled both PERFECTLY and supported Ben throughout. The improvement wasn't overnight but it was consistent, and by the end he actually liked the subjects rather than dreading them just because he loved the tutoring.
Oxford was the dream. We didn't think it was realistic at the C grade stage and the school discouraged Ben from applying. He is now there.
Forever grateful.Perfect! EXAMINER + HYPER EXPERIENCED
John is an exceptional A-Level Geography tutor and active examiner, which means he knows exactly what markers are looking for. His sessions are perfectly structured: 25 minutes of theory, 25 minutes of past paper questions, and 10 minutes of flashcard revision. Every minute is used well.
If you're looking for the best tutoring of your life - I would highly recommend him- Super student - been working together for over a year now :)John's response :
Perfect! Well-prepared for lessons, explains things very clearly, and is also very flexible. Highly recommended.
Perfect! ️️️️️ (5/5)
John is, without exaggeration, the best tutor I’ve ever had. His sessions are a masterclass in clarity, patience, and motivation. He breaks down complex topics with surgical precision and explains them in a way that sticks instantly. You’re not just learning with John, you’re genuinely levelling up.
His energy is infectious, his structure is impeccable, and his ability to read exactly what you need (before you even know it) is borderline psychic. Every minute of the lesson is gold. I left the session not only understanding the material but actually excited to study more. That never happens.
If you’re lucky enough to work with him, don’t take it for granted. Five stars isn’t enough. Ten, minimum.- Amazing session!John's response :

Words are just beyond me for how much our family has been helped over the years - could not recommend enough!
John was absolutely fab - never felt so supported before - he carried our four children from Year 7 all the way to university - couldn't recommend him enough.
John is absolutely brilliant. He’s been tutoring my son Aarav for GCSE Psychology, and the change has been noticeable right from the first lesson. Aarav says he’s learned more with John in one session than in weeks at school. John explains concepts clearly, always checks understanding, and brings in great real-life examples. He’s punctual, easy to communicate with, and genuinely passionate about what he does. Worth every penny.
We’ve had a few tutors over the years, but none like John. He’s been working with my son Theo, and the results speak for themselves — better grades, better attitude, and most importantly, less stress for all of us. John gets through to Theo in a way that teachers at school just haven’t. His mix of professionalism and genuine care is rare. I’d recommend him without hesitation.
John has been incredible for my daughter, Amira, who’s in Year 13 studying A Level Economics. She was really struggling with evaluation and structuring 25-mark essays. John immediately pinpointed the gaps and helped her build a clear, practical approach. Her confidence has grown massively—she went from a C in her mocks to an A in her latest paper. He explains complex ideas like market failure and monetary policy in a way that actually sticks. Honestly, I don’t think she’d be aiming for an A* without his support.
We started working with John a few months ago for my son, Leo, and I honestly can't praise him enough. Leo was struggling with confidence in maths, but John completely turned that around. He’s patient, clear, and somehow makes even the driest topics engaging. Leo actually asks when his next session is—something I never expected. John’s support has gone beyond academics—he’s helped rebuild Leo’s belief in himself. We’re so grateful we found him.
John has been an absolute gift to our family. From the first lesson, he connected with Jed in a way that built confidence and made learning feel achievable. He explains things clearly, never talks down, and somehow makes every session feel productive without pressure. Jed actually looks forward to lessons now—something I never thought I’d say. We’ve seen real progress, not just in results but in attitude. I recommend John without hesitation. He genuinely cares, and it shows.
John tutored my child for over a year and made a real difference. He’s reliable, communicates clearly, and adapts his teaching to suit the student. He builds trust quickly and keeps lessons focused and effective. I’d recommend him without hesitation to anyone looking for a calm, consistent, and skilled tutor.
John has been an exceptional tutor for my child. From the first session, it was clear he brings deep subject knowledge, professionalism, and a calm, focused teaching style that builds real confidence. As a parent, I appreciated how clearly he communicated progress and tailored each lesson to target weak areas. My child not only improved their grades but also started to enjoy the subject more. With his background as an examiner and consultant, John brings credibility and insight that’s hard to find. I highly recommend him to any parent seeking serious academic support for their child.
John is one of the most capable and committed tutors I’ve worked with—his rare combination of academic excellence, examiner insight, and real-world experience makes him an outstanding mentor for any student aiming for top results. I’ve known John through both academic and professional settings, and his approach is consistently sharp, thoughtful, and tailored to individual students. He doesn’t just teach the syllabus—he helps students understand what examiners are looking for, and how to deliver it under pressure. I would recommend him without hesitation to any student or parent looking for results-driven, high-quality support.
