About Athena
My fascination with architecture began with an appreciation for form, space, and the way built environments impact human behavior. I earned a B.Arch followed by an M.Arch in Sustainable Design, gaining a deep understanding of both creative design and technical principles. Over 9 years, I have guided students in developing their design abilities, combining structured learning, conceptual exploration, and mentorship to help them achieve both skill and confidence.
I approach teaching with patience, clarity, and adaptability, focusing on helping learners translate ideas into meaningful spaces. Lessons integrate step-by-step guidance, conceptual discussion, sketching, modeling, and critique, tailored to each student’s style and pace. I emphasize creativity, structured exploration, and practical understanding of architectural principles.
Beyond teaching, I remain engaged with architectural research, sustainability studies, and design experimentation. This allows me to bring contemporary insights and real-world relevance into my lessons. Teaching architecture is deeply fulfilling because I witness students grow creatively, develop confidence in expressing ideas, and learn to approach design challenges thoughtfully, imaginatively, and effectively.

Architecture becomes inspiring when learners understand how ideas transform into meaningful spaces and structures. My lessons focus on design principles, spatial reasoning, conceptual development, visual communication, material understanding, and project presentation. I encourage creativity, critical thinking, and structured exploration, enabling students to develop both technical skills and imaginative vision. Lessons involve sketching, modeling, analysis, and guided critique to foster holistic design thinking.
I tailor lesson plans to each student’s proficiency. Beginners focus on sketching fundamentals, proportional design, simple composition, and visual problem-solving. Intermediate learners explore advanced drawing, conceptual planning, material application, and spatial problem-solving. Advanced learners engage in portfolio development, presentation refinement, architectural storytelling, and complex project design. Each session emphasizes clarity, iterative learning, and creative experimentation, allowing students to grow in skill, confidence, and expressive ability.
Architecture lessons also develop observation, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving confidence. Students learn to articulate ideas visually, approach challenges methodically, and design with purpose and innovation. My goal is to provide an encouraging, stimulating environment where learners build creative identity, technical expertise, and an appreciation for the ways architecture shapes human experience.
