About Shivansh

My passion for architecture originated from a fascination with how spaces influence behavior, creativity, and social interaction. This inspired me to pursue a B.Arch in Architectural Innovation, where I gained knowledge in design thinking, structural planning, sustainable practices, and conceptual development. Over 10 years of teaching, I have helped students of diverse backgrounds and ages translate abstract ideas into meaningful, functional designs, while developing their confidence and creative independence. My approach emphasizes interactive learning, clarity, and iterative problem-solving, ensuring students actively engage with material and cultivate both technical proficiency and imaginative thinking.

I adapt lessons to meet the learner’s unique strengths, interests, and skill level. Beginners receive structured guidance on drawing, proportion, and basic composition. Intermediate learners explore site planning, material selection, sustainable design, and digital modeling. Advanced learners are challenged with project development, portfolio creation, presentation techniques, and professional critique. I provide continuous feedback, encourage experimentation, and maintain a supportive environment that balances technical rigor with creative exploration, allowing learners to develop both competence and artistic vision.

Beyond teaching, I stay actively involved in architecture through research in sustainable urban planning, participation in design workshops, and engagement with innovative technologies such as BIM and parametric design. This enables me to incorporate real-world insights into lessons, giving students a contemporary, practical perspective. Teaching architecture is deeply rewarding because I witness learners grow from tentative beginners to confident designers capable of thoughtful, creative work. Helping students discover their personal design voice and develop professional skills is the most fulfilling aspect of my career.

About the lesson

Architecture is a dynamic subject that thrives when learners understand the interplay between creativity, function, and environment. In my lessons, I guide students through design thinking, structural comprehension, site planning, material selection, and sustainable development practices. I incorporate hands-on activities including model building, sketching, digital drafting, and real-world scenario exercises, allowing students to see how abstract ideas become functional spaces. Lessons emphasize iterative problem-solving, critical evaluation, and exploration of multiple design possibilities, giving learners both technical skills and creative confidence. By connecting theoretical concepts with practical application, students develop an appreciation for how design shapes human experience while fostering independence and originality in their thinking.

Lesson progression is tailored to individual levels. Beginners focus on drawing fundamentals, visual proportion, and understanding basic spatial composition. Intermediate learners engage in site analysis, digital modeling, sustainable design strategies, and structural considerations. Advanced learners tackle comprehensive projects, portfolio refinement, presentation techniques, and professional critique. Each session is scaffolded to gradually increase complexity, reinforcing conceptual understanding, technical competence, and creative expression.
