About Abigail
Providing consistent feedback means I will interrupt your playing when I see a technical habit that might cause issues later. Plainly speaking, my goal is to ensure you understand how to navigate complex chord transitions and scales before we move to faster tempos. Because I am a Guildhall Voice graduate, I approach guitar mechanics with an ear for phrasing that helps you sound more musical.
We will spend significant time on barre chords, fingerpicking, and intricate strumming patterns to ensure your rhythm stays locked in. Advanced learners and those prepping for grade exams need a map of their progress.
Reading sheet music and mastering electric technique requires a steady hand and a clear plan. I structure my sessions to make sure you have actionable tasks for every practice day. Does this approach align with how you hope to grow as a player?

Walking onto the stage for my first professional performance felt like standing in a hurricane. That early rush pushed me to share my skills with 228 students over 13 years. My background as a Voice graduate from Guildhall brings a unique perspective to my guitar instruction.
I enjoy working with performance-focused students and hobbyists who treat their instrument with respect. Self-taught players often find the jump to advanced theory quite difficult to manage alone.
I like to keep things conversational and grounded in the reality of playing. You will find that my approach prioritises clarity over rigid dogma. Expect a supportive environment where we tackle the harder parts of the fretboard together.
