About Nicolás
I have a background in drawing that starts with both my parents being graphic designers, which led to an encouraging attitude towards arts from an early age.
I studied visual arts in Colombia where I learned the academic ways of fine arts while minoring in film studies, which was my main field of operation in Colombia. During this time I also double majored in philosophy, which has helped me develop my thinking process and where I learned to use drawing more as a way of thinking.
After moving to the USA, I became a photographer who has traveled around the world and done art shows with my photos in Colombia, Ecuador and the USA.

Basics.
We'll start by doing an explanation of what drawing is based on Kandinski's theories accompanied with basic composition exercises.
Honing.
Once the basics are understood, we'll move on to observation and hand-eye coordination exercises to improve drawing.
Concept.
Finally we will start a personal project for the student in any different field using the concepts and techniques learned as a method to understand and conceptualize the process rather than a static or finished thing.
The student can leave during any of the three parts depending on what their personal aim is.
