About Kaia

With 12 years of piano teaching experience and nearly 300 students trained, I am committed to delivering structured and inspiring music education. I teach high school students, college learners, and adults who wish to improve their piano skills in a professional and supportive environment.

My teaching philosophy focuses on clarity and consistency. I break down complex techniques into simple steps so students can progress with confidence. I emphasise scales, chords, rhythm drills, and sight-reading practice to build a strong technical base. At the same time, I encourage emotional expression and musical interpretation.

Every lesson is personalised to match the student’s goals and learning pace. I help students set clear targets and monitor their progress regularly. Many of my students have achieved high scores in music exams and performed successfully in recitals.

For me, teaching piano is about more than technique. It is about building confidence, focus, and discipline. I aim to inspire students to believe in their abilities and strive for excellence.

About the lesson

My piano teaching methodology is built on strong communication, creativity, flexibility, and long-term skill development. I believe piano is a powerful instrument that helps students grow not only musically but also mentally and emotionally. In my lessons, I begin with a solid technical foundation. Students learn correct posture, relaxed hand position, finger independence, rhythm control, and accurate note reading.

I explain each concept in simple English so students clearly understand what they are doing and why it is important. Communication is central to my teaching. I encourage students to ask questions, share their goals, and speak about their challenges. I provide detailed but supportive feedback so they can improve step by step.

Creativity makes lessons enjoyable and meaningful. I include improvisation, interpretation practice, and simple composition exercises to help students develop confidence and musical imagination. Flexibility allows me to adjust the lesson plan according to each student’s age, ability, and purpose—whether for exams, performances, or personal enjoyment.

In addition to piano performance, I teach music theory, sight reading, ear training, harmony, and basic composition. My goal is to develop confident, expressive, and independent pianists who enjoy lifelong learning.
