About Elizabeth

Hello, I am so glad to meet you! I am a third-year university student studying secondary education/arts with a major in Chinese. I love teaching Chinese. I currently do teach at a Saturday community language school, contract position as a student teacher in uni and also a private tutor~

About the lesson

I cater to different needs of students. Because I was born and raised in Australia and personally went through the whole Chinese learning process, I believe I have what it takes for Australian born and raised students to better understand and learn Chinese. I also have a lot of material to offer as well as a lot of care, fun and love to shower over my students.

Perfect! Elizabeth is an excellent Mandarin tutor who following a career in education specifically language. Speaking Shanghainese at home she had formal Mandarin lessons as part of her education providing not only accent-free fluency but a demonstrated high academic understanding of the language. She has attained recital awards for Chinese poetry and achieved full marks for HSK 5&6 as well topping the state for HSK6. She has assured me her lessons will get me the same marks or my money back ;) Growing up in Australia she knows English and western culture equally well and is also a student of Japanese and French.

Elizabeth is very personable and whilst relaxed is focussed on learning outcomes. As an adult beginner myself Elizabeth has listened an adapted her lessons to suit my my needs. In particular she is fixing all the mistakes made by my last tutor, an smartphone app. I am very much enjoying learning with Elizabeth and can wholly recommend he as a tutor.
