About Claire

I have been working as a Maths and English tutor since 2013, both in Vietnam and in England. In Vietnam, all my former students got into well-qualified universities with a little help preparing for the entrance exam from me. In Huddersfield, I currently have four students. I help them with their Maths homework and facilitate them to prepare for Maths tests. I have been extremely proud since two of my students recently just got 50/50 on their GCSE Maths tests.
I have always been enthusiastic about Maths, especially Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry ever since I was in high school. I used to be the fastest student to solve all the Maths problems in my class. When I studied Economics back in Vietnam, I also scored high marks in Statistics and Advanced Maths (9.4/10). That is why I really do hope to spread the love of Maths to as many people as possible. The subject itself is not really that difficult as what people have said. With my guidance, I strongly believe you find it really interesting and not so difficult at all.

About the lesson

Hello, it's Claire. I am originally from Vietnam but currently I am working and studying at Huddersfield. I have completed two year at Foreign Trade University back home (International Business Economics) and now I am doing final year at Huddersfield University to get a degree in teaching.

Since I am offering one-to-one tuition, my lesson plan will depend on YOU- the learner. I have developed my flexibility to work accordingly to the need of my student. In general, I would say my approach to teaching is inductive.

Last but not least, I am the type of tutor who is going to push you really hard to see how far you can go. When it comes to solving Mathematical problems, you should be meticulous, but also bear in mind the speed. I hope I can help you to achieve that combination.
