About George
I've always had a love for Chemistry and will be studying it at University after year 13. I got 90% in both of my end of year AS Exams making me the best Chemist in my school. Put simply I don't have a degree in Chemistry (yet) however know the GCSE and AS level syllabus like the back of my hand. Being a student myself I have the edge that I know how to help other students in a practical and useful way to get that grade. My results for Chemistry and Physics where 167/200 and 166/200 respectively and I know areas of confusion and misconception first hand since since I sat the exams so recently.

The main focus of my teaching would be ensuring that concepts of each topic are strongly grasped before the end of a lesson. If theres one thing I've learnt its that if you understand why things happen you don't need to memorise random facts to answer questions correctly. I would strongly encourage anyone I teach to ask "stupid questions" since if a question helps understanding its worth asking. What separates successful students from others is they ask when they don't know and i will be more than happy to slow down and review any areas of confusion for as long as it takes if need be ! A lesson spent on one tiny area that didn't make sense is more productive than one where somebody pretends to understand for an hour.
