About Hasnat

Having experienced academic challenges myself, I hope to use the knowledge and strategies I have gained to support students who may be facing similar difficulties. I am passionate about helping others overcome obstacles, build confidence and realise their potential. My desire to make a positive difference in people’s lives is also one of the key reasons I aspire to pursue a career in medicine, and I hope to bring that same compassion and dedication to my tutoring.

I believe every student has the potential to improve with the right support, and I look forward to helping you reach yours!

About the lesson

My teaching approach is tailored to each student’s individual needs, strengths and weaknesses, as I understand that everyone learns differently. Having personally experienced the challenges of achieving lower grades at GCSE, I know first-hand how frustrating it can be to revise without seeing results. After experimenting with different techniques, including flashcards, I discovered more effective methods such as blurting and active recall, which helped me achieve Grade 9s. I aim to help students find the revision strategies that work best for them, strengthen their subject knowledge and build the confidence to achieve their target grades.

Lessons typically last 1 hour, although longer sessions of 90 minutes can be arranged upon request. Each lesson will be structured around your individual goals, with a focus on addressing weaknesses, reinforcing key concepts and developing effective exam techniques.

My lessons are aimed at GCSE students studying AQA Chemistry and Biology, as well as aspiring medical students seeking support with their application journey. This includes 1-to-1 UCAT preparation and medical school interview practice, drawing on my own experience of the admissions process, including securing 4/4 post-interview offers last year.

My goal is not only to improve your performance but also to help you become a more confident and independent learner.
