About Nida
I am a Psychology Assistant working for the NHS, specialising in trauma-informed care. Prior to this, I have worked with various communities, providing psycho-social-support. For instance, I have supported homeless men with substance misuse problems and women fleeing domestic abuse.
I have also worked as a Meath Health Practitioner for the NHS; I was based in the Community Mental Health Team and a Psychiatric Ward.
I have a strong theoretical understanding of Psychology which I apply to my work; I have completed an MSc in Psychology of Mental Health from The University of Edinburgh. I have a PgDip in Mental Health Practice. I also have a certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy from Middlesex University.
I have also worked as a Teaching Assistant, I am proficient in making sure that the pupils I support are able to engage in learning and stay on task during the lesson or activity so that they can become independent learners. I also have experience supporting the social and emotional development of pupils.

I believe the relationship between the tutor and the student is central to the success of the lessons. I will try my best to ensure you enjoy my interactive, friendly lessons, which will move at a comfortable pace. I will leave plenty of time for questions and discussions. Psychology is the most interesting field, and I hope my passion will come through in my lessons with you!
My lessons are designed to provide a thorough grounding in Psychology for those with no psychology background. For those who have already studied Psychology, I will support them to increase their understanding of their breadth and depth.
I offer tuition at GCSE and A-Level level.
