About Dakota
Hello! I'm Dakota, an Arizona State University graduate with a degree in Mass Communication and Media Studies and more than 16 years of professional experience in marketing, copywriting, and communications.
Throughout my career, I've helped businesses tell their stories through compelling writing, strategic communication, and creative problem-solving. My work has included everything from writing websites, blogs, and marketing campaigns to crafting professional emails, presentations, and brand messaging. Clear, effective communication has always been at the heart of what I do.
I've always enjoyed helping others improve their writing and build confidence in their communication skills. I understand that every student learns differently, so I take a patient, encouraging, and personalized approach to teaching. My goal is to create a comfortable learning environment where you feel supported, ask questions freely, and leave each lesson feeling more confident than when you arrived.
Whether you're a student working on essays, an ESL learner strengthening your English, or a professional looking to improve business communication, I'm excited to help you achieve your goals. As an Arizona State University graduate with a degree in Mass Communication and Media Studies and more than 16 years of professional marketing and copywriting experience, I bring real-world knowledge into every lesson. I've written everything from website copy, blogs, and social media campaigns to professional emails, presentations, and brand messaging for nationally recognized companies.
My teaching approach is supportive, practical, and interactive. Rather than relying solely on worksheets or memorization, I focus on applying English in real-life situations. Lessons may include grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, essay writing, creative writing, business communication, resume and cover letter editing, interview preparation, or copywriting, depending on your goals.
I believe the best learning happens in a judgment-free environment where questions are encouraged and mistakes become opportunities to grow. Every lesson is customized to your experience level, whether you're an elementary or high school student, a college student, an ESL learner, or a working professional looking to sharpen your communication skills.
