A Quick Introduction:
Hello there! My name is Roger and I graduated from Normanhurst Boys High (A Top 10 NSW Selective school) in 2022 with a 99.45 ATAR. I have built up 3 years of prior experience in many reputable tutoring centres such as Pre-Uni and private tutoring and as such, I am confident I can provide quality tutoring that is worth both your time and money. This is easily shown in the results of my past students who have seen great increases in their marks after only a short period! My lessons are extremely flexible and can be tailored according to the student’s particular needs, from giving assistance with any homework questions they have, to helping consolidate difficult concepts and topics (24/7 support).

I am currently studying a Double Degree of Commerce and Computer Science at UNSW and offering private primary and high school tutoring for the following subjects:
️ Selective Exam Preparation (Thinking Skills, Comprehension, Writing, Maths)
️ Years 7 – 10 Maths
️ Years 11 – 12 Math Advanced and Extension 1
️ Years 11 – 12 Physics

Here are my qualifications
Overall 99.45 ATAR and All-Round Achiever (All subjects 90 ).
Maths Advanced: 99/100 (Top 10 Internal)
Maths Extension 1: 47/50 (Top 15 Internal)
Physics: 94/100 (Top 10 Internal)
Chemistry: 91/100 (Top 25 Internal)
English: 91/100 (Top 30 Internal)
3 Years of professional tutoring experience

Lesson Structure
My lessons will be taught using some of the BEST, professionally made study materials that other tutors will very likely not be able to offer, and solely use the textbook to learn (message if interested in checking out some free samples).
Whether you are top or bottom in your class, I will do everything in my power to help you succeed and as such I offer 24/7 online homework support and general questions outside of teaching hours (response time will vary from 5 minutes to a couple hours)
I offer both in-person and online classes and a RISK-FREE TRIAL LESSON, so you can get a feel for if I am the right tutor for you.
Lessons will last anywhere from 1-2 hours depending on student's preferences.

My Teaching style:
Having experienced the struggles and pressure of the HSC myself very recently, I’ve come to figure out many tips and tricks in my subjects that would have my life so much easier - things that I really wish someone would have told me earlier.

My genuine goal as a tutor is to equip you with all the tools you’ll need to ACE the HSC without having to spend hours and hours studying and frustrated on concepts that you don’t understand. I also want to make learning an enjoyable subject by sharing my passion for these subjects to take a lot of the stress out of studying.

MY RATES (NEGOTIABLE)
Free TRIAL LESSON. If you don’t wish to continue tutoring with me, the lesson will be free of charge!
RATES: One on One $55-75
Small class (1-3 people) tuition: $30-45

About the lesson

I am a recent graduate of Normanhurst Boys High School (2022), who provides tutoring services for students from Year K-12 in Maths and 11-12 Physics and Chemistry. I have a passion for learning maths and have consistently performed well over the years. I have achieved a 99+ ATAR. I hope to share this passion among younger students who may/may not love maths as much as I do. I have tutoring experience of over four years and have helped improve many students' grades in maths. I also helped students understand concepts more clearly than what is taught in school. Along with teaching maths, I have also assisted students in preparation for the OC test and selective test, with many students being offered places in their desired selective schools. Having recently come through the grade levels, I have a clear understanding of the Australian syllabus and can help students enhance their learning experiences and further their knowledge.

My experience of studying with Roger has been really incredible because of the way and the detail in which he explains topics. In giving examples and analogies to relate to, it becomes much easier to understand and learn more difficult concepts. Furthermore, his wide range of resources further assist in this. And the best part is that he makes it a friendly environment which in turn makes the students feel comfortable to ask any question without any hesitation!

As a past student, I can highly recommend Roger as being a patient tutor in explaining difficult math problems and concepts I personally struggled with. My grades in math particularly improved greatly after only a term of his tuition.
