About Dionne

Hi! My name is Dionne. I am a native English speaker from Toronto, Ontario in Canada.

I have 16 years of teaching experience and a Master's degree in Adult Education. I have taught online and in a traditional classroom, but I'm not simply a teacher. I have examiner experience in English proficiency exams. Furthermore, I have experience training while being Dean and the head of Training and Development. In addition, I have trained teachers to teach English. I have also trained corporate corporate staff in a variety of soft skills including areas such as customer service and sales.

I teach students from a variety of different countries and backgrounds. I've also taught students of a variety of different ages and cultures. The topic of culture, in fact, is a fun and hot topic that I like to incorporate discussions about - as it gets everyone talking and using their English. Students enjoy
talking about their culture and they enjoy learning about mine too.

During lessons I strive to build on the confidence of my students by providing a comfortable learning atmosphere I also include humor in lessons because it allows my students to feel at ease and that provides a comfortable and positive learning atmosphere as well

In my spare time, I enjoy researching interesting topics on the internet, posting helpful learning materials, and traveling to different places.
