About Michelle

I am someone who noticed during their UK medical school application journey, how limited the opportunities were to receive tutoring for specific points in the application. Additionally, I also disagreed with how predatory certain preparatory companies were in charging an absurd amount when applying to Medicine is already an expensive process (i.e., UCAS application fees, UKCAT exam fee), and I feel like it has become more of a money game.

Additionally, I have a strong public speaking background which was evidenced when I won Year 7 Public Speaking Champion of my school, and I naturally carry this into my lessons and I can teach you the implicit mannerisms that can embolden your interview performance.

In terms of GAMSAT S2, I can teach you what I believe the GAMSAT wants from you, and I can teach you how to restructure your thinking to meet that. Additionally, I can give examples of prior partially written essays that I wrote which I emulated the style of in my exam leading to my 71, and my friends' essays that they wrote prior to scoring 63 and 61 which can make it more clear what GAMSAT wants. I'll teach things step by step, introduction, thesis, points, body paragraphs and conclusion and be with you to navigate such a mysterious exam.

About the lesson

Hey! My name is Michelle and like the title I am an Aussie who's made it into medicine and dentistry in Australia and the UK. My credentials include receiving offers from University of Glasgow Medicine and Dentistry, University of Birmingham for Medicine. Now why is that relevant?

Typically, in Australia due to there being fewer medical schools than the UK, there is significant competition when you are aiming to enter -- resulting in only the upper echelon of scores making it in compared to the UK system where it is viable to make it into highly ranked universities with a 70% or higher. Thereby, since I sat the Australian selection process which was slightly more rigorous, I can teach and enhance my students' performance in the MMI and Panel Interviews. Not only that, I have a strong background in public health from my undergraduate and I can offer insights from that as well :)

Additionally, I scored 71 in S2 GAMSAT, without any revision which I am happy to give insight on.

I'll tailor the lesson to you! The lesson fee I charge includes out of hour contact where you can ask me more questions and I mark your work.

Learning what is the point of you sitting the UCAT, why do you have to sit a MMI/Panel, what is the purpose of doing S2 GAMSAT
Learning the critical thinking skills to brainstorm and to think laterally
Applying these skills untimed
