About Riya
Hi! I'm a friendly and passionate viola teacher who loves helping beginners build confidence and fall in love with music. I'm a North Sydney Girls High School graduate with a strong performance background, including selection for the Australian World Orchestra, Chamber and Symphony Orchestra and Eisteddfod placements (3rd and Highly Commended).
I genuinely enjoy teaching and find nothing more rewarding than watching a student grow week by week. My lessons are patient, warm, and encouraging, so you always feel supported as you build strong foundations and develop confidence at your own pace.

My lessons are built entirely around helping you gain confidence and improving your skills while playing music. I take a patient, step-by-step approach, and tailor each lesson to your pace to keep you encouraged and motivated.
Lessons run between 30 minutes to an hour and we work through a structured method together which works best for you.
I'm a North Sydney Girls High School Graduate with a strong performance background, including performing in the school's top orchestras including Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra. I've been on multiple Music Tours and Camps, playing to audiences of over 500+.
I was also selected to play in the Australian World Orchestra, and have placed 3rd and been consistently Highly Commended in Eisteddfods.
My lessons are perfect for early learners who want a friendly, supportive teacher to guide them as they embark on their viola journey!
