About Rukshini
I’ve been immersed in traditional Sri Lankan Kandyan dance since childhood and have trained extensively in this art form over many years. I previously performed as a professional dancer with the renowned Channa Wijewardena Dance Academy, one of Sri Lanka’s leading and most respected contemporary traditional dance troupes, known for its world-class stage productions and international performances.
Through this experience, I have gained strong expertise in classical Kandyan technique, choreography, stage presentation, and cultural storytelling. I am deeply passionate about preserving the authenticity of Sri Lankan dance while making it accessible and engaging for students of all ages and backgrounds. My goal is to share this rich cultural heritage internationally through structured, inspiring, and high-quality dance training.

Learn the beauty and cultural heritage of Sri Lankan traditional Kandyan dance through fun, structured, and engaging lessons designed for students & Adults in Singapore. Students will develop rhythm, coordination, confidence, discipline, and stage performance skills while learning authentic Kandyan dance techniques, traditional movements, body rhythms, jumps, and dance routines from an experienced Sri Lankan dancer and instructor. Classes are suitable for beginners and provide a unique cultural learning experience in a friendly and supportive environment.
