About Mia
"Music connects people to their roots, which is why I teach this instrument. My 13 years of experience began in Madrid long before I earned my Diploma of Music from JMC Academy.
Teaching absolute beginners and teens allows me to share the joy of rhythm, while performance-focused students often benefit from my deep focus on BLUES PROGRESSIONS and theory. I balance the technical side of electric and acoustic playing with the soul of the instrument. It is important that you feel supported as you learn fingerpicking, as this takes patience.
My approach is structured yet flexible enough to keep things fun. You will find that I emphasize natural movement and core technique to ensure your hands stay healthy and agile. Expect a relaxed environment where we focus on what makes the music feel real."

"Sometimes I worry that students focus too much on speed instead of the feel of the notes. Pacing is everything when you are starting out, so I prioritize clean execution over rapid progress. My background as a guitarist from Madrid shapes how I break down complex theory into manageable pieces. I find that beginners often benefit from hearing the music in its original context.
Giving feedback is a core part of my process, as I want you to hear your own improvement clearly. I lean on my 13 years of experience to identify exactly where your technique needs a small nudge in the right direction. We will look at your posture and the way your fingers interact with the fretboard to build a solid foundation. If we get the small details right today, the rest will follow eventually."
