• Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

  Architecture is my profession. I use the AutoCAD software to draft drawings for my projects. It is one of the most powerful tools available in the market for professionals. I like to use the latest tools available in the market to enhance my workflow and improve productivity. I learnt AutoCAD and some of its powerful tools such as LISP for my work and grew fond of it.

• What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

  I have always been interested in teaching since a very young age. I have my brother and many of my classmates and juniors in college. I also teach Design Thinking at a Business school in the city I live in. I got this opportunity also interestingly through Superprof! Teaching is something I have always enjoyed.

• How does your work help society?

  I have helped a lot of people through superprof. People reach out to me with complicated and challenging problems that require an urgent solution that they are unable to find. I help them out and it helps them complete a job or get a better opportunity. They are thankful to me and I to them. I feel this exchange of knowledge has made everyone more skillful and has added positive growth to society.

• If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

  I take Elon Musk to be a role model as he takes up very challenging problems and solves them using his knowledge of engineering. Many times he learns completely new things to solve problems and comes up with truly original, simple, and great solutions to problems. I take that as an inspiration.

• Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

  I enjoy painting and reading books. I also watch movies and TV shows.

• Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

  I helped a student with Rhinoceros 3D. They wanted to edit a model for 3D printing and were unable to solve a certain problem. I looked through possible tools that can solve the problem and learnt them and also taught the student how that problem should be addressed. They were impressed and gave me a glowing review. I was very touched when they told me that this helped them with their business which was without any income for the last 15 months. I also learnt a lot of new skills that could help me with my professional work too.
