About Lorne
I’m a mechanical engineering technologist with over a decade of real industry experience using AutoCAD and SolidWorks to design industrial machinery, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, exploration drilling equipment, and fabricated components. I’ve worked with engineering teams, manufacturers, and clients across multiple sectors, so I understand exactly how CAD is used in the real world. As a tutor, my goal is to make CAD clear, practical, and confidence-building. I explain concepts in a way that makes sense, provide structured lessons, and guide students step-by-step until they fully understand not just how to use a tool, but why it matters in a real project.
