About Jesse

I have recently returned to Sydney after 12 years studying, performing and teaching in Germany. I have won numerous first prizes at prestigious guitar competitions and have performed in venues such as the Wigmore Hall and Musikverein Vienna.

I have built up my teaching experience primarily during my time as Professor of Guitar at the Akademie für Tonkunst Darmstadt, from 2020-2026. There I taught individual students from pre-college through postgraduate level, as well as directing performance, chamber music, ensemble and sight-reading classes. I additionally regularly teach masterclasses at universities, international festivals, as well as give private tuition.

About the lesson

I help young classical guitarists develop fluent technique and expressive musicality through individualised and structured lessons.

I take students from ages 7 and up, all levels welcome.

To help you achieve your musical goals I offer:
Weekly 1:1 lessons (30, 45 or 60 minutes)
Guidance on selecting an instrument and other accessories
Handpicked technical exercises and etudes
Personalised practice plans with clear goals
Analysis of your repertoire to deepen your interpretation
Instruction in effective practice strategies and problem solving
Ongoing feedback & accountability
