About Ophelia
I’m an award-winning photographer and filmmaker with 25 years of professional experience across portrait, documentary, fashion, and advertising. My work has won Portrait of Britain 2025, exhibited at The Face Magazine National Portrait Gallery, featured in major publications The Face, I-D, The Sunday Times and many more, and I’ve photographed leading cultural figures including Florence Pugh, Mary J. Blige, Debbie Harry, and Keira Knightley. I’ve also produced global creative work for major brands such as Puma, Adidas and Marc Jacobs. Alongside my practice, I’m an experienced photography educator and mentor. I have taught and given portfolio guidance at Nottingham Trent University, De Montfort University, London College of Fashion, and Condé Nast College, specialising in documentary photography, portraiture, creative research, and visual storytelling. I support students at all stages—from beginners to MA applicants—helping them build strong, concept-led portfolios, develop technical confidence, and find their creative voice. Whether you want to improve your photographic skills, prepare for UK arts courses, or strengthen your professional portfolio, I offer structured, personalised guidance based on real industry experience. My teaching style is warm, practical, and supportive, with a strong focus on creativity, identity, and authentic visual expression.

I teach photography and filmmaking with a professional, industry-focused approach built from 25 years within some of the most respected visual arts institutions and editorial environments, working across portrait, documentary, fashion, and advertising. My lessons combine creative research, shooting techniques, editing, sequencing, and portfolio development, tailored to each student’s goals. My career has taken me across London, Paris, New York and beyond, photographing renowned figures including Florence Pugh, ASAP Rocky, Mary J. Blige, Debbie Harry, and Keira Knightley, and producing work for major brands such as Puma, Adidas and Marc Jacobs. I’ve taught students at Nottingham Trent University, De Montfort University, London College of Fashion, and Condé Nast College, specialising in documentary photography and visual storytelling. I mentor and support students preparing for UK art courses (Foundation/BA/MA), helping them build strong, concept-driven portfolios that stand out. Whether you’re developing a new body of work, refining your style, or preparing for university applications, I offer structured guidance on research, creative direction, shooting, editing, and presentation. Lessons can be 1:1 or small group sessions, online or in-person, and are fully tailored to your level and pace. I also offer focused workshops in: • Portfolio reviews + CV support • Pre-MA/Pre-BA project development • Documentary + portrait storytelling • Visual research and editing workflows My aim is to help you strengthen your creative voice, produce high-quality work, and feel confident in your visual identity as a photographer or filmmaker. I regularly work with students preparing for UK arts education, and I tailor my methods to suit any level of experience. I also have extensive experience teaching international students online across multiple time zones. I offer several tutoring pathways: • CV + Portfolio Review Workshop Strengthening photography portfolios for UK applications (ART Foundation/BA/MA) or professional progression. • Pre-MA/Pre-BA Photography Project Introduction to UK visual research methodologies through a structured, concept-led project. • Documentary / Portraiture Development Project Focus on narrative, identity, visual storytelling, and developing long-term or editorial projects. • Creative Research + Visual Development Project Building research-led workflows, experimentation, editing, sequencing, and final presentation. I am also happy to design small group workshops for students who prefer collaborative learning. Past students have gone on to secure places at leading UK institutions and establish successful creative careers.
