I truly respect a professional who has been specialised in one domain area, as with years of learning, research, and teaching, that person definitely can bring in his or her expertise, experience and approaches of learning in the process of teaching. Ruby is the one that I chose for my primary school child.

Ruby is very patient and accountable. She is very willing to listen, and gets to know our needs before the lessons. With our goals in mind, she spends time to prepare and customise the materials and plans well for the lessons. She explains the concepts and approaches in much detail to my child, patiently giving vivid examples and engaging my child very well.

Her lessons are very effective. She actively engages my child in discussions and gives a lot of constructive feedback on the articles on the whole, and also drills down to sentence and word level. These, I believe, will benefit my child in the long run and help my child improve on sensitivity towards word choice, sentence structure, paragraph writing and more. After only a few lessons, I find that my child has already started developing this awareness, and trying to apply these learnings into the writing. It is proven to be much more effective than learning in a big classroom setting.

You will be amazed by her professionalism that has been demonstrated in the details such as the emails and assignments that she has prepared for you. Her lessons cover various text types and topics which greatly help my child to build up good writing skills and prepare for various upcoming examinations.
