About Karla
I am an experienced ESL teacher with over 5 years of experience. I have led one-to-one phone English lessons and face-to-face classes for Korean and Japanese students through engaging, enthusiastic delivery. I have worked with students at different proficiency levels (e.g., beginner, intermediate, advanced) and across age groups. I monitor students’ development through organized class notes and support them with grammar and pronunciation feedback.
I have also coached students to improve their basic writing skills. In addition, I have mentored students in college-level writing and helped them develop ideas for their academic essays. I provide thorough feedback and suggestions to help them improve their work.
I value building strong relationships with my students. I don’t see you just as a student, but as a collaborator in helping you achieve your learning goals. I look forward to meeting you and having you in my class.
