About Shirsendu
I am a Computer Science and Engineering undergraduate from IIT Roorkee. I graduated in July 2018. I will soon join as a research student in Master of Science specializing in Robotics at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). My main areas of interest are using Computer Vision and Deep Learning to make machines perceive this complicated world. I have a solid understanding and experience in Python and Deep Learning through an internship in Japan, an internship in USA and an 8-month Research Assistantship in France and Canada (joint collaboration). I also have undertaken independent projects to supplement my knowledge and experience at ISI Calcutta and multiple labs at IIT Roorkee.

According to me, the most appropriate method to learn is strengthening the basic concepts and then building upon them to delve into the complexities involved in a subject. Hence, in any particular course, I will make the student grasp the basic concepts and then make them involve in relevant hands-on assignments. This, in turn, will not only clear the building blocks but also make them acquire practical exposure.
