About Hena
Who says science and English don't go together? I'm a Dentist but have always loved writing poetry and essays, reading and exploring English Literature overall.
I have spent years mastering the clinical precision required for healthcare, yet my heart has always been deep-rooted in the rhythm of language. I bring the same analytical discipline I used in surgery to the study of English Literature and Grammar, helping students dissect complex texts with clarity and logic.
I want my students to fall in love with English rather than thinking that it ain't their cup of tea. Trusting the process all along!

Teaching method: I can explain complex ideas in a simple way! I move away from vague explanations and instead provide a clear, logical blueprint for grammar and essay writing. I want students to treat every poem or text as a structure to be analyzed, breaking down complex NCEA requirements into simple, manageable steps that make high-level writing feel like a science rather than a mystery.
Qualifications: Bachelor of Dental Surgery, with a strong interest in English. Have taught my own kids for years!
