About Brent diesel jake
I am a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics graduate with hands-on teaching experience gained through my internship in a public secondary school, where I taught Grade 8 Mathematics. This experience allowed me to develop effective classroom management skills, create engaging lesson plans, and help students build confidence in mathematics through interactive and student-centered learning.
As an aspiring professional educator, I am committed to providing high-quality tutoring that is patient, organized, and tailored to each student's individual learning needs. I understand that every learner progresses at a different pace, so I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and developing their problem-solving skills.

As a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics graduate, I believe that every student can succeed in mathematics when concepts are explained in a clear, engaging, and supportive way. During my teaching internship in a public school, I taught Grade 8 students, where I developed a student-centered teaching approach that encourages active participation, critical thinking, and confidence in solving mathematical problems.
My teaching method focuses on making mathematics meaningful rather than simply memorizing formulas. I begin each lesson by connecting the topic to students' prior knowledge or real-life situations. I then explain concepts step by step using simple language, visual representations, examples, and guided practice. Throughout the lesson, I encourage students to ask questions, discuss their ideas, and solve problems independently before we review the solutions together. I also adapt my teaching style to each student's learning pace and provide constructive feedback to help them improve.
A typical lesson starts with a short review of previous concepts, followed by an introduction to the new topic and its real-world applications. We then work through examples together before students practice independently or collaboratively. I conclude each session with a brief assessment or reflection to ensure that learning objectives have been achieved and to identify areas that may need additional practice.
