Hello! I'm Maria, a Bachelor of Values Education student at the Philippine Normal University with a passion for helping students learn in a supportive and engaging environment.
As a tutor, I believe that every student learns differently. My teaching approach is student-centered, interactive, and encouraging. Instead of simply giving answers, I guide students to understand concepts through discussions, real-life examples, reflection, and practice. I create a positive learning space where students feel comfortable asking questions and expressing their ideas.
A typical lesson begins with a short review of previous topics or an assessment of what the student already knows. Next, I explain new concepts in a simple and organized way using examples that are easy to understand. Throughout the lesson, I encourage participation through questions, activities, and guided exercises. We end each session with a summary of the key points and a few practice questions to reinforce learning and build confidence.
What sets me apart is my patience, empathy, and commitment to helping students truly understand the lesson rather than memorize information. As a future educator from the Philippine Normal University, I continuously apply modern teaching strategies that promote critical thinking, communication, and meaningful learning. I strive to make every lesson engaging, relevant, and enjoyable.
My lessons are suitable for elementary, junior high school, and senior high school students, particularly those who need support in Values Education, Araling Panlipunan/Social Studies, Filipino, and related humanities subjects. I also welcome students who want to improve their study habits, classroom participation, and confidence in learning.
