About Amir
Hello to whoever is reading, I'm Amir, a passerby who learned a little something in the field of social sciences and finance and wants to put that knowledge to good use in helping others to think more clearly about the ideas that run our world. My enthusiasm about teaching is rooted in my undergrad years where I taught my classmates and helped each of them pass through assessments. It helped me think about my own course and ideas more clearly and I felt like I learned as much from teaching them as they did being tutored by me. Plus it's also a good side hustle. My favorite thing about teaching is helping those kids that the teacher classifies as low achievers or the ones that struggle academically. The look of hidden genius and surprise in their eyes when they finally get through and actually understand a topic or problem is what always keeps this fun.

Breaking down key concepts through relating to real-life experiences and abstract metaphors. Able to tell from facial expressions if a student doesn't understand something. Teaching style will be much more conversational than coercive. You learn much better if you think you figured it out rather than someone told you. My experience is largely informal, taught my entire class throughout my entire university course and never relied on authority to keep fellow students engaged. Normal session with me may last around an hour to get you a fundamental understanding of a topic but advanced proficiency may take longer. Age range for pre-bachelor level students but can teach undergrad if lesson curriculum provided in advance.
