About Molly

My name is Molly Terwey, I am someone who is deeply interested in how people use language, how ideas spread, and how communication shapes the way we understand the world. With a background in English, Communication, and Politics, I’ve always been drawn to the way words can influence thinking, challenge beliefs, and bring about change. I chose this field because I am fascinated by people—how they express themselves, how they interpret messages, and how meaning is created in everyday life.

My interest in teaching comes from a desire to share that fascination in a meaningful way. I don’t just want to present information; I want to help students discover their own voice and learn how to use it confidently and effectively. I understand that learning can sometimes feel overwhelming or disconnected from real life, so my goal is to make lessons feel relevant, engaging, and practical.

Teaching, for me, is about impact. It is about helping students grow not only academically, but also as thinkers and communicators who can navigate the world with confidence. I want to create a space where questions are encouraged, ideas are challenged respectfully, and learning feels like a conversation rather than a lecture.

About the lesson

I would want you to know that my lessons are not just about memorizing content—they are about learning how to think, question, and communicate with clarity and confidence in the real world. With a degree in English, Communication, and Politics, I bring together three powerful ways of understanding society: how language shapes meaning, how messages influence people, and how political systems affect everyday life. This means our lessons will move beyond textbooks and into real conversations about current issues, media, leadership, identity, and power.

What makes my teaching unique is that I don’t treat students as passive listeners. I treat you as developing thinkers. We will analyze real speeches, social debates, news headlines, and even everyday communication to understand how ideas are built and challenged. In English, we refine how you express yourself; in Communication, we learn how meaning is created and interpreted; and in Politics, we explore how decisions shape the world you live in. Together, these subjects help you not only pass assessments but also become someone who can speak and write with purpose.

My goal is to create a classroom where your voice matters as much as the content. You will be encouraged to question ideas, defend your opinions with evidence, and develop your own intellectual identity. In a world full of information, the real skill is not just knowing things it is knowing how to use knowledge effectively. That is what my lessons are designed to teach.
