My tutoring approach is centered on active learning and engagement. I focus on creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and expressing their thoughts. I use a mix of the following techniques:

Use of Real-World Examples: I relate abstract concepts to real-life situations, especially in Environmental Science, to make the material more relatable and easier to grasp.
Visual Aids and Tools: I use diagrams, charts, and other visual aids to explain complex ideas, ensuring that visual learners can also benefit.
Regular Assessments: I conduct quick assessments to gauge students’ understanding and adjust the lesson plan accordingly. This helps identify areas that need more attention.
Personalised Feedback: I provide constructive feedback tailored to each student's strengths and areas for improvement, helping them develop confidence and mastery in the subject.
Lesson Structure
Each lesson typically lasts between 45 minutes to 1 hour, structured as follows:

Qualifications and Experience
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and have extensive experience as a university-level tutor. Over the years, I’ve taught various subjects, from environmental science to general science courses. My background in managing educational settings, combined with my hands-on experience in wildlife volunteering, allows me to bring a unique perspective to my teaching, blending academic knowledge with practical, real-world applications.
My lessons are designed for students in grades 8-12, typically aged 13-18, who are seeking to improve their understanding of science subjects. Whether they need help with general science, environmental science, or more specialized topics, my approach is tailored to meet the needs of high school students at various levels of proficiency.
