About Ash

Hi!! My name is Ash and I love reading! I have dyslexia and ADHD so I have a hard time reading. I wasn't diagnosed until high school because I had gotten pretty good at some of the basic techniques used to combat dyslexia. Once I was diagnosed, I was able to understand and find better ways to combat poor reading comprehension, grammar, spelling, and test anxiety that came from it.

About the lesson

Hi! Our lessons would be structured based on individual needs. To determine what will work best for you we'll go over what you need help with, what methods you've used in the past, what your goals are, and what your timeline is.

A typical lesson will include a brief overview of what the goals are, a warm up, an assignment, and a discussion about the lesson in hindsight.

The lessons are best for middle/high school students but I am open to working with any student in any grade level!

What sets me apart as a tutor is that I have dyslexia and ADHD, which both impact my reading comprehension and grammar. After learning how to better tackle learning disabilities in AP classes, I was able to improve my scores from a 2 to a 5 average. If you have any learning disabilities, lets meet and come up with a plan together to better approach English!
