About Mira
With over 8 years of chess tutoring experience, I teach players to think like strong competitors rather than relying on rote memorization. My philosophy is simple: if you understand the principles, you can handle any position. We start with key concepts like piece activity, pawn structure, and king safety. I make sure every lesson builds a deeper sense of board awareness. Students learn to evaluate positions logically, weighing tactical chances against long-term strategy. I also focus on building calculation skills through challenging but accessible puzzles. My teaching style adapts to your preferred learning pace while still pushing you to improve. We’ll review your games to spot strengths and fix weaknesses. Opening preparation is tailored to your style, whether you like aggressive attacks or solid defense. Endgame training ensures you can finish strong when the opportunity arises. I aim to make lessons both challenging and enjoyable. By the end of our sessions, you’ll be equipped to play with confidence and creativity. You won’t just play moves—you’ll understand them.

I believe strong openings set the stage for the rest of the game, but memorization alone isn’t enough. My approach focuses on understanding the purpose behind each move in your repertoire. We’ll choose openings that match your style, whether you prefer sharp attacks or solid positional play. I teach how to transition smoothly from the opening into a strong middlegame plan. We’ll study model games to see how masters use your chosen openings effectively. Tactics are woven into our opening study, so you can punish mistakes early. I also emphasize flexibility, preparing you for unexpected lines from opponents. Our lessons include regular review games where we practice your openings in real time. Alongside openings, we’ll sharpen calculation and improve your sense of timing. Endgame work ensures that if you emerge from the middlegame with an advantage, you can close the game confidently. I keep lessons interactive and tailored to your progress. Every concept is explained in clear, practical terms. By mastering openings with purpose, you’ll approach every game with confidence and a clear plan.
