About Felicity
I am a guitar tutor with over 4 years of experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Guitar Performance. I offer lessons tailored to beginners, advanced players, and those seeking mastery of authentic blues. My specialties include slide guitar, open tunings, and fingerpicking techniques. Students explore a variety of blues styles, including Delta, Chicago, and Piedmont. My teaching is encouraging, patient, and focused on expressive playing. I combine technical exercises with improvisation and performance practice. Each lesson emphasises rhythm, feel, and emotional expression. Students develop fluency, confidence, and a personal musical voice. I integrate digital tools for recording, backing tracks, and feedback. Lessons are interactive, creative, and practical. My goal is to connect students with the soul of the blues. Every session nurtures technical skill and expressive artistry. I teach guitar with a focus on songwriting, lyrics, and musical arrangement. Students explore chord progressions, acoustic arrangements, and melody creation. My methodology encourages both creativity and structured musical thinking. The Blues Seeker and The Aspiring Rock Star are guided to transform ideas into original songs. Lessons include exercises in harmony, rhythm, and phrasing to support expressive writing. Each session emphasises turning inspiration into coherent, performable music. Students practise arranging pieces for solo performance or small ensembles. I provide techniques to strengthen lyrical and musical storytelling. Lessons are engaging, interactive, and tailored to each student’s style. I focus on building confidence, skill, and creative independence. Every session nurtures artistic expression while reinforcing structure. Students leave with actionable tools to develop and complete songs. Together, we’ll craft your musical stories into reality.
