About Mark

I am a NREMT registered and Texas license Paramedic with experience working in 911 EMS, non-emergent EMS, emergency department, and in pre-surgery within the US and abroad in the UK.

I also have experience in transferring a US Paramedic license to the UK, and am currently registered with the HCPC.

My career with healthcare happened very spontaneously. I went to school unsure what I wanted to do, and was suggested to try out EMS, which quickly became my passion. However, when starting out, I had plenty of issues and needed others to help me. I am here to help progress your career in EMS like those who helped me.

About the lesson

My aim is for those in Basic EMT, Advanced EMT, or Paramedic courses who need help understanding the material, or those who need help to pass the NREMT/HESI exam.

Things you can expect to learn with me is pathophysiology of various diseases commonly seen in EMS, common injuries seen in EMS, treatment plans for said diseases and injuries, drug administration, drug math, EKG recognition and interpretation, basics of cardiology, along with many other topics pertaining to EMS.

A normal day's lesson with me would typically begin with any initial questions you might have prepared, help with any homework you are working on, and/or a general discussion of topics you or I feel is a weak point for you. Then, to practically apply topics discussed, we will go through a patient scenario and discuss patient care and treatment plans, similar to questions asked in NREMT exams. Of course, this is flexible based on your needs and leaning style.

My learning style is very hands-on and visual, so I enjoy using slide shows, pictures, videos and drawings when teaching. However, my one and only goal is for you to learn from our sessions, so I am very flexible with my teaching styles for your benefit. If at any time you are not happy with a teaching style, I will be more than happy to change and accommodate for your learning style.

I am also available for career guidance, finding the right job for you, finding other certifications to boost your resume, and help with transferring a US Paramedic license from the to the UK.
