About Per Moritz
In my fifth year, my first instrumental lessons began on the violin. In addition, I received a basic musical education and sang in various children's choirs. At the age of 12 my first bass lessons started. Soon I was a solid bassist in various rock and jazz formations, in big bands and a symphonic wind orchestra. At the age of 14 I also got double bass lessons. Two years later, my first piano and music theory lessons began as part of the study preparation with a classical focus. After graduating from high school in 2016, my entrance into the study preparation of the Paul Hindemith Music School with a focus on jazz and the main subject bass. In addition, I got drum and voice lessons. In addition to the regular concerts in the course of study preparation, I have to this day numerous appearances as a bassist with various Berlin jazz musicians and formations, including the Flintstones Big Band, JJBC Big Band, NewVenture and Andreas Schmidt. Ever since I started teaching last year, I've been finding out that with my great and versatile band experience, I can teach my students a lot.

I am a young dedicated all-round musician (bass / double bass, piano, drums, vocals). I have been playing my main instrument bass for 8 years, of which I have been professional for the past two years. At the moment I mainly deal with jazz, but I am also experienced in other styles such as rock, pop, classical and world music. In the classroom, I'll go into your individual preferences and desires, teach you basic bass playing techniques and work with you on songs of your choice. I will also treat music theoretical backgrounds on request in the bass lessons, as well as the basics of improvisation. If you want to prepare for an entrance exam, I can also focus on teaching music theory and ear training.
