About Kamohelo

I haven't always been a straight-A student. I know exactly what it feels like to sit in class, feel overwhelmed, and believe that you just "don't get it."

I was once the underdog. However, with the right mentorship and a change in perspective, I turned my marks around and achieved distinctions. My goal is to "pass it on." I don't just teach the textbook; I teach the strategies that helped me move from struggling to succeeding. I am proof that with the right support, anyone can master Accounting.
My lessons are a judgment-free zone because I have been in your shoes, I approach every lesson with patience and empathy.

Building the Foundation: We will strip away the jargon and focus on the logic so you understand why we are doing the calculation.

Confidence Building: We will tackle the areas you fear most, breaking them down into small, manageable steps.

Exam Technique: I will share the specific study methods and exam techniques that helped me succeed in my degree and my board exams.

About the lesson

As a BCom Accounting Graduate, PGDip Graduand, and current SAICA Trainee, I bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world application. My uniqueness lies in my current position: I am fresh enough from university to remember exactly how difficult specific concepts can be, but experienced enough in the working world to explain why we do them. My goal isn't just to help you pass, but to help you understand the logic behind the numbers so that Accounting becomes intuitive rather than intimidating.
I don't believe in "lecturing" at you. My lessons are interactive and problem-based. A typical session follows this structure:

Diagnostic: We identify exactly where you are getting stuck.

Simplification: I break down the complex theory into bite-sized, logical steps.

Application: We work through examples together, moving from simple textbook scenarios to complex past-paper style questions.
I tailor my lessons to suit the specific curriculum and needs of the student, catering to:

High School (Grade 8–12): Helping students master EMS and Accounting basics (Accounting Equation, Journals, Ledgers) up to Matric finals preparation.

University Level (1st & 2nd Year): Assisting undergraduate students with Financial Accounting and related modules.

Whether you are failing and need to pass, or getting 70% and pushing for a distinction, my approach adjusts to meet you at your level.

Confidence Building: You try a question on your own with my guidance, ensuring you can replicate the success in an exam setting.
