I am Miss Wendy Holloway, but you can call me Miss Wendy. I enjoy learning new things, such as baking, learning things from people, and most importantly I enjoy teaching. Teaching has always been a passion for me and I would love to be an inspiration for my students, so that they will be motivated to learn in my classrooms. Teaching and learning Afrikaans can be quite difficult, especially if you teach it as a first additional language, but there are many approaches to use when teaching this language. Afrikaans is a language which can be fun to learn, such as translating words directly from Afrikaans to English, which will make the learning process more enjoyable. I will be using props and telling stories to help students understand what I’m teaching them and I will play with the tone of my voice to capture students’ attention
