About Nguyen Mai Chi
Having been in this profession for over 15 years, I achieved my Candidate Master title (CM) at 14 years old and won numerous gold medals in national and regional chess competitions (e.g. Southeast Asian Youth Chess Championships). I achieved the 6th ranking out of 97 players at the World Youth Chess Championship in 2010, Greece. At the same time with winning the Highest Academic Merit Award in Japan for academic results, I also won the championship and top three prizes in Japan chess competitions where there were players of rating 2200+ and 2300+. Since coming to Australia, the 1st place at Reserve Tournament in the Australian National Championship is my first achievement and I believe it's just the start.

Chess is about practice. My methodology mainly focuses on analyzing excellent games of international masters and grand masters to come up with valuable strategies, tactics and lessons. Doing chess exercises about opening, middle game, and end game will be a major part in my class as well. Rest of the time - I will guide you through the openings you like.
