About Cara
Hi, I’m Cara! I’m an ESL teacher who believes that learning English should feel encouraging, practical, and fun. I work with both children and adults, creating lessons that are engaging, supportive, and personalized to each student’s needs and goals.
I’m known by my students as a kind, patient, and fun teacher. For children, I bring English to life through games, movement, creativity, and hands-on activities. For adults, I focus on practical English that can be used in everyday life, including conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, and American culture.
Most importantly, I want my students to feel comfortable in my classroom. Making mistakes is a natural part of learning a language, and you should never feel embarrassed to ask a question or try something new. My goal is to help every student build their English skills while also building the confidence to actually use them.

My teaching style is friendly, flexible, and focused on helping students use English confidently in real life. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable, so I create a relaxed environment where mistakes are welcome and questions are always encouraged.
My lessons combine conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, reading, and practical English. I adjust my teaching methods to each student’s age, English level, learning style, and personal goals. Rather than only studying from a textbook, we practice English through real-life situations, games, activities, stories, role-play, and natural conversation.
A typical lesson begins with a warm-up or casual conversation, followed by a focused lesson and guided practice. We then use what we learned through speaking activities, games, real-life scenarios, or other interactive practice. I also provide corrections and explanations along the way so students understand not only what to say, but how and when to use it naturally.
What sets my lessons apart is my focus on making English useful, approachable, and fun. I especially enjoy teaching the parts of English that can be difficult to learn from a textbook like everyday expressions, pronunciation, slang, cultural differences, and how people actually communicate in the United States.
I work with both children and adults, from beginners building their first English skills to more advanced learners who want to improve their conversation, pronunciation, and confidence. Whether you are learning English for school, work, daily life, or simply want to communicate more comfortably, lessons can be adapted to fit your individual goals.
