About Zachary
With more than 7 years of teaching experience, I am a dedicated Drum Tutor specializing in college students. I focus on building strong fundamentals while keeping learning enjoyable and stress-free. My teaching approach is simple and student-friendly. I explain concepts clearly and adjust lessons to suit each student’s pace.
I focus on rhythm accuracy, coordination, timing, and groove development. I use innovative learning techniques such as slow-tempo practice, rhythm visualization, and structured practice plans. Practicing with backing tracks and songs helps students improve faster. Creativity is an important part of my lessons. Students are encouraged to experiment with different beats and fills.
I also guide them to understand how rhythm supports different music styles. As a mentor, I motivate students to stay disciplined and consistent. I track progress and provide clear feedback. My teaching style helps college students build confidence and musical skills.

My drum tutoring methodology focuses on creativity, understanding, and personal guidance. I believe students learn best when lessons are simple, interactive, and goal-focused.
Lessons are planned according to each student’s level and interests. I focus on timing, coordination, control, and technique. Students are encouraged to think about what they play and how it fits into different styles of music.
Creativity is developed through beat creation, rhythm exercises, and guided improvisation. I allow students to explore their musical ideas while maintaining proper technique. Lessons are practical and enjoyable.
As a mentor, I guide students with encouragement and clear direction. Accountability is built through regular feedback, practice goals, and progress tracking. Students learn consistency and responsibility.
In addition to drum lessons, I also teach supporting subjects such as rhythm counting, basic music theory, song structure, and practice strategies. This helps students apply their skills confidently.
