About Vikram
I have over 9 years of experience teaching piano to college students, helping them improve both skill and musical expression. I take a flexible, student-focused approach, tailoring lessons to individual strengths and goals.
To make learning engaging, I introduce innovative techniques like combining classical training with improvisation and contemporary music arrangements.
My lessons emphasise not just playing the notes correctly but understanding music deeply, performing confidently, and enjoying the learning process. I am passionate about inspiring students to achieve their potential while fostering creativity and a love for piano.

My piano teaching approach is designed to build creativity, understanding, and responsibility in every student. I believe piano learning should be enjoyable while also being structured and meaningful.
Creativity plays a strong role in my lessons. I allow students to explore different music styles, play familiar songs, and try basic improvisation. This helps students stay interested and express their musical ideas freely.
As a critical thinker and mentor, I guide students to understand how music works. Instead of only practising pieces, we explore rhythm, scales, chords, and finger techniques in a clear way. I encourage students to ask questions and think about how to improve their playing.
Accountability is developed through clear practice goals and regular progress checks. I help students create realistic practice schedules and guide them to stay consistent. Honest feedback helps students stay motivated and responsible for their learning.
Along with piano, I also teach music theory, sight reading, ear training, rhythm skills, basic harmony, and keyboard techniques. These subjects support piano study and help students become confident musicians.
