わたしのなまえはマリコです。（My name is Mariko.）

In Japan, I worked in a department store, focusing on “Omotenashi” (hospitality) to make customers happy
I then moved to the UK and now live in France
I am currently learning French from scratch, and while I struggle with the frustration of not being able to communicate in French, I feel the joy every day when my French is understood.

That is why, more than anyone else, I am able to attend to your feelings like ‘I don't understand’ and ‘it's too difficult’ when you are learning Japanese.
And I want to be there for you and rejoice with you when you think "I can speak Japanese!"️️

Perfect! I took a trial lesson with Mariko-sensei, after studying Japanese on a off for a long time, but knowing I still have huge gaps in my knowledge and understanding. Within the framework of just the introductory lesson, Mariko-san who was very friendly and welcoming, and clear. She gave me the space to introduce and talk about myself and discuss some basic topics. She was very patient with my very rusty, spoken Japanese, and also was able to explain to me the nuances of certain grammar and words, and kindly correct me where necessary. Being very nervous about my spoken Japanese, Mariko-san was able to put me at ease immediately, and I was able to really enjoy the lesson. I look forward to the next ones hopefully.

Perfect! Mariko is an excellent teacher. She's very patient, listens to your concerns and tries to make the lessons as simple as possible so you can understand. I would definitely recommend her and I'm taking more lessons with her.
