About Katerina

I am a Political Economics graduate from University of California, Berkeley working on continuing my studies. I have a passion for helping children/teens/young adults experience the joys of learning. I think part of the beauty of learning is understanding which is very unique to the individual. Some people learn better through a more visual approach some learn better through repetition exercises some learn better by interacting with the material in a more hands on way. This is why I really believe in individual based tutoring and learning, becuase the knowledge acquisition process should be tailored to the individual for optimal results. I have tutored college math and writing as well as high school english, math, SAT, writing, reading, coding, biology, and physics. I have tutored students for over 10 years at various capacities. I also worked at a children's learning center and tutored geography, basic mathematics, vocabulary. grammar, etc in kids from 5-12 years old.

About the lesson

I try and tailor the teaching to the individual becuase people learn best in different ways. However I am very patient and want to see each student really connect with the material and understand. I can sympathize with the student that it may not always be easy so I will assure them that effort and determination is a requisite to understanding. Mastering the thought process can often be more telling to success than the mastery of the material. I will teach the student how to logically solve the problem and implement a solution.
