About Violeta

As a UC Berkeley Music major, I bring both academic training and real-world experience to my teaching. I have a strong background in music theory, performance, and composition, and I work as a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and producer. This allows me to guide students not only through technical skills, but also through creative development.
I approach teaching with professionalism, patience, and attention to each student’s individual goals. Whether a student is just starting or looking to deepen their skills, I create a structured and supportive environment where they can progress with confidence.
In addition to my academic work, I have experience assisting in educational settings and working in collaborative music environments. I understand the importance of clear communication, consistency, and adaptability when teaching.
Students can expect well-prepared lessons, clear guidance, and a positive learning atmosphere. My goal is to help each student build confidence, develop their musical abilities, and feel motivated throughout their learning process.

About the lesson

As a UC Berkeley music student, my approach to teaching is centered on creativity, musical understanding, and personal expression. I believe that learning music should feel both structured and inspiring, so I combine solid technical foundations with a flexible, student-centered approach.
In my lessons, I focus on building strong fundamentals in areas such as technique, rhythm, ear training, and music theory, while also encouraging students to explore their own musical interests. I often integrate elements of songwriting, improvisation, and listening practices to help students connect more deeply with the music they are learning.
A typical lesson is divided into three parts: first, a warm-up or technical exercise to develop skills; second, work on repertoire or specific goals (such as a piece, vocal technique, or production project); and third, a creative or reflective section, where we might explore improvisation, composition, or discuss musical ideas and influences.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my background as a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer. I bring not only classical and theoretical knowledge, but also experience with contemporary music and digital production tools. This allows me to adapt to different styles and help students develop both technical skills and their own artistic identity.
My lessons are ideal for beginners to intermediate students, as well as those who want to explore music more creatively—whether in piano, voice, songwriting, or basic production. I am especially interested in working with students who want to build confidence, understand music more deeply, and express themselves through it.
