About Bethany
Hi! I'm Bethany, a teacher candidate with a passion for helping students learn, grow, and build confidence in their abilities. Through my classroom placements and experience working with children in educational and recreational settings, I have developed a patient, encouraging, and supportive approach to learning.
I offer personalized tutoring for elementary students in reading, writing, and math, tailoring each lesson to meet individual needs and learning styles. My goal is to create a positive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, taking risks, and celebrating their progress.
I believe that every child can succeed with the right support and encouragement. Whether your needs help strengthening foundational skills, staying on track with classroom learning, or building confidence in a particular subject, I strive to make learning engaging, meaningful, and enjoyable.

As a teacher candidate, my approach to tutoring is centered on creating a supportive, engaging, and confidence-building learning environment where every student feels capable of success. I believe that children learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and celebrating their progress.
I use a student-centered approach, adapting lessons to each child's individual strengths, needs, and learning style. I incorporate hands-on activities, games, visual supports, and real-world connections to make learning meaningful and enjoyable. My goal is not only to improve academic skills but also to help students develop confidence and a positive attitude toward learning.
A typical session begins with a quick check-in and review of previous learning, followed by targeted instruction and guided practice. Students then have opportunities to apply new skills through engaging activities or educational games before ending with a brief reflection and discussion of next steps. Lessons are flexible and adjusted based on each student's pace and goals.
